Reynolds Frizzell is proud to announce the promotion of Jim Weiss to partner. Jim is a dedicated and tireless advocate for his clients.  A third generation Texas lawyer, he is known for his ability to understand complicated issues and translate them into a compelling, powerful story for judges and juries.  Jim graduated with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law. After law school, he clerked two years for Judge Sam Sparks on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Austin Division, on one of the busiest civil dockets in the country.

Jim’s practice is focused on representing individual and corporate clients at the trial and appellate levels in disputes across various subject matters, including oil and gas, partnership, real estate, and intellectual property.  Jim’s experience spans all aspects of litigation, and he has successfully represented clients in jury trials, final arbitration hearings, and injunction proceedings.

“Jim consistently does outstanding work for the firm and his clients and has played an integral role in many important cases since joining the firm in 2016,” said Partner Jeremy Doyle. “We are thrilled to promote Jim to the partnership and are excited about his future with Reynolds Frizzell.”
