Jennifer Josephson, Harris Wells, and Jean Frizzell, along with former colleague Chris Hogan, prevailed on eight summary judgment motions for several of Reynolds Frizzell’s prominent real estate clients in a lawsuit pending in the Southern District of Texas’ Houston Division.
Investors of multiple hotels in Texas claimed millions of dollars in damages from numerous affiliates of the Moody National Companies. Following discovery and depositions, the parties collectively filed eight summary judgement motions on a range of claims, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraudulent inducement.
The judge issued two orders on the motions, granted all three motions for summary judgment filed by the affiliates of Moody National Companies, and denied all five motions for summary judgment filed by the investors.
