Elizabeth Wilkerson is driven by natural inquisitiveness and a dedication to uncovering creative solutions for her clients. As a trial attorney at Reynolds Frizzell, she prides herself on her ability to delve deep into research and quickly learn the facts and business considerations of a new case to help her clients tackle any type of challenge.  Elizabeth has mastered the cross-disciplinary approach, with experience spanning the banking, insurance, media, and oil and gas industries.  Elizabeth has represented clients in civil litigation, at the trial court and appellate levels, and in the course of internal investigations.

Pursuing a career in the legal industry felt like a natural fit for Elizabeth, who worked as a paralegal for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York before earning a J.D. from New York University School of Law. During law school, Elizabeth served as Staff Editor of the Annual Survey of American Law and clerked for the Department of Justice in the Environment and Natural Resources Division. After law school, she practiced at an international law firm in New York City and clerked for Chief Judge Janet DiFiore on the New York Court of Appeals.  In 2021, Elizabeth returned to her Houston roots and joined Reynolds Frizzell.

Elizabeth is licensed to practice in New York and Texas.

Representative Matters

Paul Johnson Drywall, Inc., et al. v. Sterling Group, LP, et al.

Member of a trial team that defended private equity firm in complete defense victory after a two-week bench trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. Plaintiff brought multiple claims asserting that our client had misappropriated Plaintiff’s proprietary information as the parties were exploring a potential nationwide roll-up of dry-wall companies.  Plaintiff sought over $50 million in alleged actual damages, over $100 million in exemplary damages, and substantial injunctive relief.

At trial, the case proceeded with Plaintiff’s breach of contract, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and unfair competition claims.

On February 19th, 2025, the District Court entered its judgment finding on behalf of the Sterling Group on all claims.  Pursuant to the NDA between the parties, the Sterling Group is also entitled to an award of all reasonable fees and expenses as determined after all appeals are concluded.
