Biography

Alejandra Chavira brings a unique combination of litigation skills, federal court experience, and a background in the electric power industry to her practice at Reynolds Frizzell. Her work experience energized her creative problem-solving abilities and taught her the importance of communicating complex ideas clearly and thoughtfully.

Before joining the firm, Alejandra served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nelva Gonzales Ramos of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the Honorable James E. Graves, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She graduated from Texas Law, where she assisted in drafting a petition for a writ of certiorari and an amicus brief as a student attorney with the Supreme Court Clinic. She also worked as a summer intern with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, focusing on voting rights and employment law matters.

Prior to law school, Alejandra spent more than five years at the El Paso Electric Company and held roles in public relations and governmental affairs. Her work included fostering community relations, developing and managing legislative policy in Texas and New Mexico, and helping secure approvals for regulatory filings.

Outside of the office, Alejandra enjoys hiking in West Texas, playing tennis and backgammon,  and painting.
