Helped Exxon Mobil Corporation defend against state and federal class actions in Kansas. Class plaintiffs complained that Exxon Mobil was charging royalty owners for costs that should have been borne exclusively by the operator, Exxon Mobil. After several years of litigation, and no trial setting in sight, we were hired to join the existing defense team and tackle briefing issues in the trial courts and in pending interlocutory appeals. All litigation settled within the year.
